The Masters this year was a very excited one for Japanese golf fans, particularly the great play of Shingo Katayama and the first master’s invitation for Ryo Ishikawa. At the Masters, Scotty met Ryo Ishikawa. When Scotty was playing a round, he came across with Ryo who was playing a practice round. Scotty thought Ryo was a very pleasant young man. Afterwards, Scotty left 3 of his putters in Ryo Ishikawa’s locker as gifts. The 3 were the Newport2 SSS, Del Mar 3.5, Newport 1.5. Some day, he may be one of the regular users of a Scotty Cameron tour putter.
