Justin Thomas’s Phantom X 5 Tour Putter Records
Justin Thomas, who won this year’s RBC Heritage, uses a Scotty Cameron Phantom X5 Tour Prototype putter. This model features a 0.5 shaft bend neck with a lower bend point, designed to create a specific toe flow angle. The putter also has a distinctive smooth milled face. These specifications are unique to tour-only models and are not available in production models.
Justin Thomas has used a Scotty Cameron Phantom-style head shape to secure his two major championships and the majority of his PGA Tour titles.
According to Scotty Cameron Tour Rep Drew Page, Thomas’s current Phantom 5 model features a prototype neck. This design allows JT to place his hands in a more comfortable position, giving him a better starting point for his stroke. He also really likes that the putter sits square at address, which seems to help with his alignment.
